Itinerary

Day 1- Bristol

Depart from Bristol port and board the Magellan cruise ship to start your voyage.

Day 2 - At Sea

Day 3 - Amsterdam

Crisscrossed with over fifty miles of canals and a thousand bridges no it is no wonder Amsterdam is often called the ‘Venice of the North'. A sightseeing trip on a canal boat is usually the top excursion choice for first time visitors!

Amsterdam is a great city to walk around as the city is flat and is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The tree-lined canals are so beautiful to stroll along and are completed with the gabled 19th century canal-side merchants houses on either side.

Day 4 - At Sea

Day 5 - Copenhagen

Explore the beautiful settings of historic Christianborg and Amelienborg Palaces, the colourful pavement cafes and pedestrian streets of Stroget, old Nyhavn harbour's quayside restaurants and bars and the fun-filled Tivoli Gardens. Of course, look out for the 'Little Mermaid' celebrating the tales of the city's own Hans Christian Andersen.

Day 6 - Warnemunde

From here, you can visit Berlin and see the Charlottenburg Castle, the Brandenburg Gate, Olympic Stadium, Reichstag, Potsdamer Square and Unter den Linden. Warnemunde itself is a popular seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. You will find a number of cosy pubs and attractive shops, with the wide sandy beach an extremely tempting proposition.

Day 7 - At Sea

Day 8 - Tallinn

Tallin is a very attractive Baltic capital city renowned for its friendliness and warm welcomes. Estonia is a modern forward-thinking country but maintains great pride in its history. Tallin offers a well-preserved medieval quarter, impressive fortified city walls and the quaintly named Long Leg Street!

Day 9 & 10 - St. Petersburg

Russia's glorious second city has a plethora of Baltic treasures on offer. The State Hermitage Museum and its outstanding art collection, the Peter & Paul Fortress, St Isaac's Cathedral and the battleship Aurora all vie for attention in the city on the banks of the Neva River.

Day 11 - Helsinki

The Finnish capital typifies the country's reputation for the best in modern design and architecture. Splendid buildings, old and new, are shown to their best effect in an uncrowded setting of parks and woodlands.

Day 12 - At Sea

Day 13 - Aarhus

Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark. Its vibrant mix of youthful energy and history makes the city beam. Awarded European Capital of Culture 2017, Aarhus has the perfect blend of cultural history mixed with contemporary architechture and is filled to the brim with exciting shops and boutiques to explore.

Day 14 & 15 - At Sea

Day 16 - Cobh

Pronounced ‘Cove’, Cobh is the cruise port of Ireland’s second biggest city, Cork, and boasts one of Europe’s largest natural harbours. Poignantly, it was also the final departure point of the ill-fated Titanic.

With its colourful seafront houses, this town has the feel of a true seaside resort, dominated by a cathedral offering fabulous views over the bay. Nearby Cork City, European Capital of Culture in 2005, hosts many festivals, ranging from jazz and folk to choral and film. The bustling city centre is home to fascinating shops and markets while traditional Irish music can be heard in many of the historic pubs and bars which populate the city centre.

Six miles inland from the city lies the town of Blarney with its famous Blarney Stone. Positioned more than 80-feet up in the battlements of Blarney Castle, legend has it that kissing the limestone block provides the one puckering up with the gift of what is euphemistically called “persuasive” speech.

Day 17 - Bristol

Return to Bristol where your cruise comes to an end.
